I’m thrilled to invite you to explore GREATNESS Mentoring. Our mentoring program mission is to provide young men and women in grades nine through twelve with the opportunity to develop a mindset for success and greatness by enabling and cultivating their dreams.
To qualify for this program the mentee must have a desire to be great or a dream they are willing to fulfill. The mentee will be provided with challenges and a mentor to help alter their mindset throughout the duration of the program to show the process it takes to achieve greatness. personal life. 9th Grade
Stage One
" The Dream"
Mentees being accepted into GREATNESS will begin their process with stage one in the 9th grade.
At this time the mentee will be provided a mentor who will assist them with goal settings and dream recognition and fulfillment.
Mentees will be presented with different forms of motivation and encouragement.
During progress monitoring the mentee will be required to maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
The mentee will be provided with tutoring assistance in struggling areas.
By the end of stage one the mentee would have completed a list of short term goals and will begin taking steps towards the goal of high school completion and dream fulfillment.

10th Grade
Stage Two
"Patience"
After mentees have successfully completed the first year of GREATNESS, they will maneuver to stage two of the process, patience in the 10th grade.
At this time the mentee will participate in community/ charitable events, give to the less fortunate and visit local hospitals as a way of giving back.
During the patience process the mentee will read Greatness is a Process: Bet On Yourself by Ruffus J Yates IV (
The mentee will be provided with financial literacy seminars and upon completion will open a student account to work on financial management.
By the end of stage two the mentee will have completed community service hours towards their goal of high school completion as well as defining financial competency.

11th Grade
Stage Three
"The Process"
After mentees have successfully completed the first two years of GREATNESS, they will maneuver to stage three, the process in the 11th grade.
At this time mentees will have a chance to sit side by side with an successful individual in a similar field to witness the process , timing and dedication it takes to be successful.
Academically mentees will receive College test preparation and other prerequisites if needed.
By the end of stage three the mentee will have completed all graduation requirements and have the knowledge and background to pursue their dreams.

12th Grade
Stage Four:
“The Torch”
Bet on Yourself
After mentees have successfully completed the first three years of GREATNESS, they will maneuver to stage four; The Torch in the 12th grade.
By this time, the mentee would have built a dream/ set a goals, know how to manage for it, witness the dedication and work it takes to be successful and be on their road to greatness.
The greatness lunch will be a ceremony for ALL mentees to attend at the end of the school year. A torch will be passed from the 12th grade mentees in the program to the incoming 9th grade mentees in honor of success and greatness.
The mentee will share their experience throughout the program and the process they endured.
Guest speakers will be invited to speak and discuss their road to success and of success.

The outcome of our adulthood primarily stems from the people, opportunities, and assistance we had during the ages of 14-18. One of the things our youth lack today is the ability to dream, supportive people, programs and mentors to help them become successful.
Greatness mentoring is designed to assist teenagers in grades 9-12 with reaching success and being great.
The mentee will submit an application and will be paired with a mentor during the early process of the program. At this time, they will discuss short term / long term goals as well as their dreams. Throughout the program the mentee will receive help fostering their dreams and goals. This PROCESS will present the mentee with problem solving skills, patience, academic success, Financial literacy and the skills to overcome challenges and frustration while fulfilling their dreams.
